Summer Program Registration Opens June 1, 2024!

Adventure Begins at Your Library!

We are busy planning our summer events.  Below is our tentative schedule.  The list is divided into the three separate programs:  PreK-School Age, Tween/Teen, and Adult.  Most of the programs are for all ages.

 

Check back on June 1 for the online registration form.  Or, you are welcome to register in the library or by calling us.  Activity bags will be distributed at time of registration or prior to the first program.  Remember to ask us for one!  Registration closes on July 12 for the preK to school age programs.

 

PreK & School Age (K-6th) Schedule: 

All programs are held on Wednesday mornings at 10am on the library’s front lawn, unless noted.

Sunday, June 16:  First day for this age group to log reading minutes either on READsquared or on paper!

June 19: Dinosaur Adventure presented by Mike & Roberta Shaw; ice cream will be provided by Main Street Creamery for all attendees.  For protection of dinosaur artifacts, ice cream will be handed out after the program.

June 26:  Out of This World Adventures presented by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum

July 3:  Jeffini the Great’s Wild West Adventure Show

July 10:  Tanglewood Nature Center & Museum’s Animal Adventures

Saturday, July 13:  Free Comic Book Day event from 10:30am-2:30pm in the library’s Main Room.  This program is for ALL AGES.  Partnership with Heroes Your Mom Threw Out Comic Shop in Elmira Heights.

July 17:  STEM Safari presented by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum

July 24:  Swashbuckling Science presented by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum

July 24:  Free concert on our lawn presented by Endless Mountain Music Festival.  This program is for ALL AGES.  Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit.

Saturday, July 27:  Last day for this age group to log reading minutes either on READsquared or on paper!

July 31:  Last day of programming.  Water, snack, and dessert provided.  Bring a picnic lunch and blanket/towel if you plan to stay.

 

Tween/Teen (6th-12th) Schedule:

All programs will be held on Tuesdays in the library’s Main Room at 5:15pm, unless noted.

June 11:  Gobbies Craft Kits and Adventure Journals

Saturday, July 13:  Free Comic Book Day event from 10:30am-2:30pm in the library’s Main Room.  This program is for ALL AGES.  Partnership with Heroes Your Mom Threw Out Comic Shop in Elmira Heights.

July 23:  Stranded in Space Escape Room provided by Bloomsburg Children’s Museum.  This event is planned for our front lawn.  In case of inclement weather, it will be moved inside the library.

Wednesday, July 24:  Free concert on our lawn presented by Endless Mountain Music Festival.  This program is for ALL AGES.  Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit.

Saturday, August 10:  Wellsboro Comic Con organized by Pop’s Culture Shoppe.  Event at the library TBD.

August 13:  Wizard Pets Tabletop Roleplaying Game with Pop’s Culture Shoppe.  NOTE TIME:  4-6pm

Saturday, August 24:  Last day for this age group to log reading minutes either on READsquared or on paper!

 

Adult Schedule:

Tuesday, June 18:  Discussion of House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune; library Main Room at 5:15pm

Wednesday, June 19:  Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Tioga County present Pest Identification & Management; library Main Room at 5pm

Saturday, June 29:  Painting event in the library’s Main Room from 12-2pm; registration will soon open to sign up to paint a hot air balloon on slate

Saturday, July 13:  Free Comic Book Day event from 10:30am-2:30pm in the library’s Main Room.  This program is for ALL AGES.  Partnership with Heroes Your Mom Threw Out Comic Shop in Elmira Heights.

Tuesday, July 16:  Discussion of Midnight Library by Matt Haig; library Main Room at 5:15pm

Wednesday, July 17:  Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Tioga County present Native Plants; library Main Room at 5pm

Wednesday, August 21:  Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Tioga County present Rain Gardens and Water Conservation; library Main Room at 5pm
