Jane Austen Turns 250 Years! Raffle Tickets Still Available.

To celebrate author, Jane Austen’s 250th anniversary of her birthday, the library has many fun December activities.  Hope you can find time in your busy December to participate.

Dec 7-Dec 20:  $1 raffle for a bag filled with Jane Austen and the Regency-like era items.  Winner will be announced on Dec 21.  Need not be present to win, but items are unable to be shipped. The items can be seen in the library’s display case.

Dec 16:  Austen’s actual birthday!  The book club for adults will be reading Sense and Sensibility.  Scones and light refreshments will be provided by Yorkshire Meadows from Mansfield.  All are welcome to attend.

Dec 18:  Afternoon tea at 2pm with Ellen Williams presenting a short program about Austen.  Light refreshments and tea will be provided by Komodo Gelato from Wellsboro.  No registration needed.
