By the end of the month, our OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog — or card catalog us older timers still call it!) will have a new look. The catalog will now have all holdings for the 11 member libraries of the Potter Tioga Library System easily visible. You will see what is available at our library, as well as at all the member libraries. There will be some new terminology, but any staff member will be able to help you if you cannot find your account or know how to search for the newest releases from your favorite authors.
But what is very exciting is that now all Libby/Overdrive holdings will be visible! No more opening eBranch2Go separately (you can still go straight to that link), but now you can put a hold on or borrow a title right in the OPAC while logged in.
There will also be a link to our ConnectWell health resource on the homepage of the OPAC. And once Hoopla goes live (by the end of Sept), those holdings will also be added to the new OPAC!
We will all be learning this new resource together! Thank you for your patience during the transition.
