Borrowing Privileges
Books, audio books, music cassettes, and compact disks may
be checked out for three weeks. Videotapes, DVDs & back
issues of magazines circulate for one week, with the
exception of DVDs from the James V. Brown collection which
circulate for two days. Items may be renewed in person or on
the phone, as long as there are no holds on the items.
Overdue MaterialsOverdue charges are 10 cents per item
per day. Patrons are also charged the replacement costs for
lost, unreturned, and damaged materials. Service charge for
overdue videos is $1.00 per item per day.
CollectionThe library holds more than 52,000 items
including fiction, non-fiction, reference, large print,
young adult, and children's books. Also included are audio
books on tape and CD, music CDs and cassettes, and video
cassettes and DVDs. The library subscribes to more than 150
periodicals and newspapers.
Membership
Green Free Library cards are free and available to
residents of Pennsylvania. A valid PA Driver's license or
sheriff's ID is required. A parent or guardian must sign, in
person, for the application of a child under seventeen. The
library honors Access PA cards, and out-of-state residents,
with photo ID, may obtain a temporary card for a fee
of $25, refundable by mail, when the card is returned.
